Today, March 8, is International Women’s Day. On this occasion, today we would like to draw attention to Mary Barra. The daughter of Finnish parents, she was born in Michigan/USA in 1961. At General Motors Institute (now Kettering University), she studied electrical engineering and began her career in the automotive industry. Today, the engineer is CEO of General Motors and thus not only at the helm of the largest American automotive group, but also the first woman to head the automotive industry.
Marry Barra is committed to establishing General Motors as a forward-looking automaker. GM, for example, is currently planning an offensive in electromobility and intends to launch at least 20 pure electric vehicles by 2023. In doing so, Ms. Barra, who has been CEO of General Motors for four years, has set a new benchmark for your company.
We wish you a good, successful, beautiful and conscious World Women’s Day.
